Ranch-Style Baked Beans

2 tablespoons butter
or margarine
1 pound ground beef
1 envelope (1 3/8 oz.)
onion soup mix
1 cup barbecue sauce
2 1-pound cans pork and
beans in tomato sauce

1/2 cup cold water
2 tablespoon prepared
yellow mustard
1 1-pound can red kidney
beans, drained 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vinegar

In large, heavy skillet, melt butter and brown meat, stirring frequently to separate meat. Add remaining
ingredients. Pour into a 2 1/2 quart casserole and bake at 350 until hot and bubbly, or, smoke on your
outside grill. Freezes well.
Note: This is my favorite baked bean recipe. I have been making it for years. It is easy and always receives
rave reviews.
