Green Jello Salad

1 sm pkg lime jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup cabbage, -- shredded
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 cup walnuts, -- chopped
3/4 cup mayonnaise (Best Foods or Hellmans--don't substitute)
1 sm can evaporated milk, -- chilled & whipped
|
Dissolve jello and marshmallows in boiling water, heating again briefly in microwave if necessary. Add
cabbage, pineapple, walnuts, mayonnaise and chill until it begins to set. Fold in whipped evaporated milk.
Pour into serving bowl (does not mold well). Chill until set. Garnish with thin slices of lime, if desired.
